Founders
Pastors Freddy & Dolores Rodriguez

In 1986, the Lord called a young couple to pastor in Perth Amboy, NJ. Inexperienced but with a heart full of faith in the God who called them, they left their church in Elizabeth, NJ. For 9 years, they served until the regional organization transferred them to “The Damascus Church” in Jersey City, NJ. By 2010, they felt that God was leading them to start from scratch with a new ministry; The Tabernacle.

The Tabernacle began on September 14, 2010, with 14 people and met at 275 Ocean Avenue. By November 2010, the congregation moved to a new location, 683 Garfield Avenue in Jersey City. The word of God through Prophet Greg Miller that The Tabernacle would have its own building “in a central location” came true when God opened the doors to 211-217 Ocean Avenue in February 2014.

Our greatest desire is to fulfill "The Great Commission" given by Jesus in Matthew 28:16-20 (NIV), "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I assure you that I will be with you always, until the end of the world."

Together we will continue to impact our Greenville community, surrounding areas and beyond, with God's love.
